Exclamation Redline 360c updated to v1.9 (NA) & v1.3 (INTL)

What’s New in Firmware v1.9 & v1.3
Cedar Electronics is happy to announce the release of version 1.9 (North America)/ version 1.3 (International) firmware. We have several minor improvements which have been made in this release which should continue to improve your experience with the Redline 360c.

Enhancements:
• Improved reaction in a strong signal environment (all bands)
• Improved CAS rejection

How to Get the Update
If you are taking advantage of the Wi-Fi connection in your vehicle or have access to Wi-Fi, you will be prompted for the update once it becomes available. If you are not able to access Wi-Fi, you can connect your Redline 360c to your computer via USB (https://www.escortradar.com/pages/update-your-device). There are two different links on the page depending on if you are using Windows or Mac OS.

Keep the Feedback Coming
We want to keep hearing from you! If you have feedback or suggestions on how to make the Redline 360c even better, send an email to radarfeedback@cedarelectronics.com.

I installed the update this afternoon and took it for a ride. Everything worked fine.

Thanks Cedar for continuing the support.

To Cedar: Thanks for the FW 1.9 upgrade.
Can someone here explain to me and others here exactly what improvements we should be able to notice following this FW 1.9 upgrade.
My understanding from testers is that the IO response for both K band and Ka band was considered to slow when compared to the other top of the line detectors.
When I read the official FW update notification I dont really understand what exactly has been improved as there isnt any mention of IO response improvement in it.
IE, what was the target and did Escort hit this target.

click and read. The Redline 360c is right up there with the top 3 detectors made right now. There is so much to consider with overall performance and filtering, I don't see where this detector lags behind really. As an example I could take an old Escort 8500 S7 antenna model and blow anything on the market today away with IO K band shot response time. Why? The old 8500 has no modern K band filtering so it's very fast. It will also give you 20 K band false alerts a minute from new cars on the road.

I need to do more testing but I'm hoping for less falsing with multiradar as well as a different alert tone for it

Completely agree, waayy better range then my Max360C, more than happy with upgrade, plus I already have ZW5 installed, so kinda have to stay Escort, which I have always had, the performance combined wirh the features leaves me wanting for nothing, and what looks like SLIGHTLY better performance and a couple bucks cheaper by the other guy's doesnt sway me, thanks CEDAR.

Angry Firmware update issues

I just updated the firmware on my Redline 360 and now I get a continuous Ka alert with the directional arrow showing I'm being targeted from the rear. This alert is every 3-4 seconds consistently. Non-stop. Regardless of my location-I can be in my garage, or sitting at a stop sign in my neighborhood. This issue began as soon as I updated to the latest firmware. I reset my unit to factory defaults hoping it would cure the problem but it still exists. I've made multiple attempts over several days to contact Cedar Electronics support but the recording states the call back queue is full and I should try again. Needless to say, I've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to speak with someone at Escort to resolve this annoyance. My detector doesn't seem to pick up any other signals. Just Ka alert coming from the rear of my vehicle. It worked fine up until the update.
Can anyone advise me on what I might do to troubleshoot this issue or should I send my unit in for repair (it's under warranty as I purchased the unit 12/2020) Thank you in advance for any assistance.

It's funny you say that because ever since I updated my fw, I've been getting some mystery ka alerts always from the rear. I never had ķa falses before this.

I have two of the RL360c devices. The update to 1.8 on one of them caused rear KA falsing but only when the unit was being exposed to direct sun for a length of time. You can read my post here.
http://escortradarforum.com/forums/s...5&postcount=90

Customer support had me reflash the unit again as their thinking was that the original flash to 1.8 did not apply correctly. I had also reset the unit more than once all to no avail. It is now at cedar for repair.

Keep trying to call cedar. Eventually you will hit the que. I always have them do a call back.
