Thumbs up Give peace a chance.

What the heck is this guy talking about, give peace a chance? Yes, give peace a chance. Peace of mind, and peace and quiet. I have now had my max 360 for over a month now and think I have gotten a good idea on how the unit functions overall. The first week of using the max 360 I must confess that I was less than impressed to say the least. Man oh man I thought, I just spent a ton of cash on on a freaking k band magnet! This unit was so chatty on my everyday travels to work that I was having serious , serious buyers remorse . Yes, I was locking them out, but it seemed like for every false I locked out, 10 more false bogeys were following right behind its brethren.

Fast forward to now, my unit is now functioning exactly how I would like it to. I'm not sure how, but my max 360 is now silent in all the best ways. I'm driving to work everyday, an hour to, and an hour from, and my detector isn't making a peep until I come across a pesky LEO sitting in a hidden speed trap location. I'm pretty astonished in how a month of driving, this unit has essentially locked everything out that was driving me insane those first few weeks. Yes, many will say duh, that's how it's supposed to work, it has GPS, stealthunit! Yes, in a perfect world it would be functioning that way. But this isn't a perfect world and usually promises are made and don't actually work as advertised. I'm here basically to help the folks sitting on the fence wondering if the unit is worth it. In my opinion yes, it is worth it. I have run the detector with, and without the escort live app on, in my vehicle. There's alot of ESL users in my area (NJ) so when I'm traveling on route 80 all of the state troopers are pointed out to me 2 miles before I get to them with a brilliant "live ka band alert ahead " with an arrow pointing in his direction and the footage away that he is. So, I ran the detector without ESL to see how the unit picked them up on its own without the help of others. The rear horn is very strong, and if I'm cruising in the left lane going 90 and I get a ka hit from behind I can move over, slow down , and he will come cruising past me 2 minutes later. In my opinion , the rear horn has longer reach then the front one, not sure why, but I have had plenty of time to slow down when the hit comes from the front as well. The arrows for me, have been a very nice addition . I'm a very anal person when it comes to expensive equipment not working the way it should because of lag and other issues . I can safely say that the arrow lag controversy on these forums is WAY overblown , at least on my unit. They work pretty darn good and are really fast . When you get a hit, you know where its coming from no doubt in my mind. I'm running the newest update that they currently offer.

In conclusion , I am super happy with the max 360 and I wanted to make this post to help others make a decision. There's alot of negative feedback going around on these forums on ka detection and arrow lag, and I had to come here and share my experiences with the unit . ka detection is very good and arrow lag, at least for me and my unit, is virtually non existent . Happy LEO spotting my fellow enthusiasts . StealthUnit out.

Yes just like our fellow brother here stated , just go into the settings, I do so through the app because it's much easier to figure everything out. Find the overspeed option, turn it off and boom its gone. You will now never hear the over speed alert ever again!

ok, maybe I'm going crazy but I did that that in preferences and it didn't work

I just checked and found something under "App Settings"......Overspeed warning, I turned that off, hopefully that works

Yes if your running Escort Live you will need to make sure that option is turned off in both Live (your phone) and in the 360 itself then that won't bother you anymore. The only other way to get it to stop warning you is to just drive the limit. Hahaha. Just kidding. Well actually it's serious but just going on with you a bit there. Lol

Anyway do that and let us know how it works for you.

Glad patience yielded good things for you! 😃

You do have to wait and let auto learn do its thing. Along with that and you locking out manually things you KNOW aren't threats you end up with a super quiet unit around town for sure. Very nice indeed. Loving mine for that as well.

You do know how to manually lock right?

Press mute three times or if your running live just reach down and swipe from left to right on your screen and you'll hear your lady say "signal stored". 😉

Enjoy!!

Escort Live has it's own separate OverSpeed alert in App Settings so if you are using Escort Live with your detector and don't like OverSpeed then you will need to disable it in the Radar Detector Settings and App Settings.
