Default WTF!!! No Ku Firmware fail... Ugh

About 2 weeks ago I received these messages:

Size: 8.0 KB

Was told to try updating smart cord thru detector tools. This caused a fuse to blow and smart cord died, ordered new cord to replace old one. Still the same flipping messages!! I have now realized that even though my iPhone shows it's connected to smart cord along with Blue light on cord lit. There's no reporting back and fourth with app and 9500ix detector. I contacted and emailed escort support and they "seem' to not have a clue. Does anyone know how to resolve this???

I didn't know there was a firmware update for the IX. Anyway, detector tools is the way to go to update an IX if there is an update. As far as the Live app and your RD,press the bluetooth icon on the app,it should show which RD is connected,if it is then it should read "detector not initialized" if this happens then press the B-tooth icon a couple times.
Sorry for this question but,are using the standard smartcord or the Escort Live smartcord?

I'm using the Smartcord live. Everything shows up as being connected thru Bluetooth. The thing is, is when there's a live KA on the app; it doesn't transfer over to detector (displaying 2000ft on the detector for instance). Also I don't think there's actually an update available, I think (know) something is just eff'n up.

It's hard to tell from the screenshots, so help us figure it out. From the text in the messages, it appears that the firmware on the ix needs to be updated via DT on your computer, not via EL. Does the ix need new firmware to do firmware updates via EL?

I'm not an ix owner... how does it connect to a computer for a DT update?

Is the ix powered up via plugged in SmartCord while updating the detector or SmartCord?

The distance display shows up on the face of the 9500ix. Not sure if it's a apple or android thing.

Icepick when I first received these messages I made a attempt to update without being connected to DT or computer. It obviously failed (which I thought would happen), Then when I got to the computer I tried updating through DT with the USB connection. DT shows everything is up to date, I even tried updating the smart cord live via USB. Still the same messages appear that I need to update the firmware. It's a endless loop and I know that things aren't running correctly.

Did you try the "Update All" in DT under the Advance tab?
Also try the usual; Reset RD, Reinstall EL...

Yeah, did the update all through DT. Asked if I wanted to overwrite, clicked yes. No change. Uninstalled reinstalled EL still the same.
