Default False laser alerts?

In the last few days I've gotten several laser alerts in areas where there shouldn't be. The first was in a school zone on a MLK day, so school wasn't in session, while I was going 15mph; the 360 alerted me of laser several times. The second was while I was on the hutchinson parkway where KA is used. I had waze open as well and there were no LEOs around.

Anyone else experience anything like this?

You will get false laser alerts from many vehicles that use Laser Guidance systems such as Infinity's, Volvo's, Mazda's, etc.

Your also going to see more due to the increase in LED and HID lighting. The light from those has a broader spectrum and will cause false lasers. Honestly though, unless you want to be warned about when to pull over and take out your license and registration you could turn laser off.

I leave it on because pulling over and not making LE chase you down bodes well for getting off with a warning vs. a ticket.

Another 'might as well turn laser off' post (lol) and most likely from someone that does not live with, many, many Laser Speed Cameras. Additionally, the Defender data as to the locations of those myriad cameras is not always accurate.

I say it because the only real defense against laser is a jammer. The tiny laser antenna on these detectors means that if it picks up the laser your already tagged. The remote chance you happen to pick up some scatter from an actual laser is not worth the noise to me.
Like I said, I still leave it on but not with the expectation its going to actually getting a save.

It won't... To date I've yet to see a passive countermeasure do anything significant enough to save you. The tests I've seen even against Prolaser still show instant speed acquisitions in the thousands of feet range.

I had hopes that it would, and for $100 it can't hurt.
