Lightbulb Max2 and 9500ci together

Hey. I have Max2 but thinking about to change it on 9500ci because of laser shifters. However, today i thought if i can use Max2 and 9500ci together. Why i do think so:
- 9500ci gives less false alerts (is it? Max2 beeps every time i pass any store)
- 9500ci has laser shifters
- Max2 has more range (does it?, That is actually the main reason i want to stay with Max2).
- Max2 reacts faster (is it true? it is actually the second main reason why i want stay with Max2).

So i want to set Cruise Alert on some high speed (80mph+ for example) for Max2 and drive with both radars detectors.

But the question is if they will make impacts on each other? I mounted Max2 right under the sun visor.

Will i get any additional benefits from that?

Thank you!

if 9500ci is in grill and max2 in cabin they should not interfere much.

max2 doesn't have that much more range, maybe on a couple frequencies straight on.

Why on earth set cruise to 80mph? So it only double braps?

I don't think running both buys you much at all.

Some folks believe STi-R+ is better that 9500ci due to STi-R+ offerring Segmentation and RDR off. You can add same pro shifters for about the same total cost.

Max is fast with filtering.
STi-R+ is fast with Segmentation.

Maybe 100+mph. Just double check . Very often i drive after 11pm and there are almost no cars on the road. So i allow myself to go a little bit faster. Like 100 or 110mph.

At the same time i hate all this false alarms from Max2.

Anyone can confirm 9500ci gives less false alarms?

Thank you!

All detectors will report false alarms, including signals coming from driver assist technologies in newer vehicles. Enabling TSR on the Max definitely reduces these, but there isn't a fool-proof methodology to distinguish between these technologies and real threats.

As far as picking up false signals when you drive past stores, all detectors will alert to these as well. However, the Max has built-in GPS and an Auto-Learn feature, and after you've passed the same location three or four times, it will ignore the signal.

Quick question. What if i will just install Laser ShifterPro. Can i connect it to Max2? Or no reasons to do that?

Thank you!

Fairly certain that the LSPs can only be used as a standalone unit or interfaced with the 9500CI/STi-R+, not with a WS mounted detector like the older ZR4s could be. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I previously owned a ZR4 shifter system, which was originally integrated with my 9500ix, and later my original Max. Escort offers an LSP upgrade for the ZR4 that includes a bridge-box and the two front heads. Since I have the original ZR4 controller box, into which the bridge box is connected, I can manage my LSPs from my Max.

Otherwise, the LSP is a standalone unit if used with a windshield mounted detector.

I do remember that now. Thanks for the clarification TBNTX.

If you have a max2 and your goal is to reduce falsing with 9500ci then it's not going to happen. Save your money. If you want to be invisible then the 9500ci may be worth it. Like someone said you could probably run both with minimal interference as long as the 9500ci is outside the cabin.

Overall at this time you will probably not see a huge range difference on these detectors. If you want the best detector for good range and reducing falses then you already have it. Make sure TSR is on and that should help an lot.
