Maybe send that puppy in for a check-up.

Seems really strange that some are experiencing this and some are not on a firmware release where this issue was to be Escort engineer's main focus.

Well I took my MAX 1.6 out for a spin today.

I am noticing killer off axis and super quiet

I have not heard one KA false all have been 34.7 in OKC

I had 1 34.7 KA signal about a half mile and the leo was on I40 coming west to east

I had picked up his signal almost perpendicular to the source

I know he was on the highway as he then followed me until I got off the highway

I have also had the 1.6 sitting at home in the window and noticed a K band signal followed by a 3 min ramp and then bam leo is either coming from the east or west

I have cameras at my home so I am able to pinpoint when the leo drives by my house

I have been getting killer KA with the max at home in the window where my max is facing due south and the signal is coming from the North traveling south

about 2 min before I see the Leo

so far I have only tested at night

I work from home so unable to test in rush hour morning or PM

I've seen one 33.6 false with 1.6. No 33.9, but mine wasn't all that falsey on that freq anyway... sometimes, but not daily.

I have never seen a Ka false with my Max that wasn't 33.6 or 33.9.

Philip, do you have POP on or off? Wondering if that selection makes any difference in 33.XXX falses?

Just thinking.

Is it possible that ER is loading different flavors of FW on different SN's to see what works and what may be just too tight for the hardware?

Hmmmm?

If it is possible, then maybe that is why under most circumstances we do not actually see the FW.

Perhaps a tweaking could be done before the next time PC/Belcort runs the FW update.

Are we there yet?

Default 1.6 - Ka 33.9 falses may * be gone! (* limited use of 1.6 as of 10/8)

Never had any Ka falses on any version. Honestly. And I take the Max with me everywhere I drive. X & Ks in Jersey are always common, but none on the Ka spectrum.
And I was one of the first (1000) preorders

ttNB..I agree. I am not aware of any Ka falses here as well. I have had some really great off axis alerts as well. Of course, my travel is only around town in the city.

I know that some people are getting Ka falses; I don't know if it is their detector not working properly, or something about the area where they live? I hope 1.6 will help them out.

And then there is one person above who believes it may be a conspiracy theory. LOL Anything to stir up the crap....most people however are much smarter.
