I have a Passport 8500 x50 and it has not given me any problems at all. But I do know it is not the latest technology. I am long since retired and a handicap veteran, so I do not really travel as I did when my wife was still alive, most of my driving is in my local area using the local interstates and local roads. Is it worth the expense, being on a retirement income, to trade my unit in, and if so what would do the job my current one is doing, or is what I already have the best to use until either I no longer am able to drive, or it no longer works?

You might also enjoy the Max360 if you would like to have arrows that point to where the threat is coming from. I'll say this, once you get used to arrows you can't do without. lol I am happy to help in any way that I can to help you make the right choice. I feel like personally you'd be happier with a newer detector because they have the filtering that is needed these days with all the false signals out there , that aren't really police. The new stuff knows the difference whereas what you have no doesn't. Also you'll enjoy much better warning range as well. Stay in touch and let us know if you have any questions. I suggest you visit the page I'll leave a link to and look around and the detectors and read up on them. https://www.escortradar.com/collecti...able-detectors
