Apple CarPlay? Seriously..?

So seriously, what’s the deal with this? I’ve seen, for what seems to be years now people have been requesting for the the ability to use Escort Live with CarPlay.

I’ve also seem multiple post from people who work at Escort saying it’s in the works and that it should be releasing soon? But that was 2-3 years ago.

I feel like we aren’t asking for much considering the ungodly amount of money we spend on your products.

I’d be happy with a just a notification that pops up on the screen whether you are using the Escort Live app, or a different one) and allow me to mute or lockout the alert.

The last update to the Escort Live app was over a year ago..

Just do something.

Unlikely anything more will be done with Escort Live as they've announced their intent to migrate to the DriveSmarter app. Right now MaxCam is on DS with other RD's to follow, once they are able to resolve the current problems with the app. Maybe CarPlay is is the future for DS, who knows.

Lets just be honest and forwright! The real reason for not having CarPlay is money. Apple charges a fee for having an app work in CarPlay. The fee is substantial. Escort does not want to pay the fee get their app hacked and then have to rewrite another app which will be subject to another fee.

Its all dollars and cents.
