Default Why does my X80 only beep twice?

Anytime I get an alert, no matter what band it is, it beeps twice and that's it. How do I get it to where it constantly beeps when I get closer and closer to a threat? Thanks!

Yeah I checked that and turned it completely off and it's still doing the same thing. Not sure what to do

Be sure to check for the following Preference settings:

Alert Tones . . . ON
Voice Alert . . . ON
Cruise Alert . . . 20 mph (or off)
Test with the detector not connected to Escort Live.

I turned all of that on/off and no matter what it still double beeps. With it not connected to escort live, it does continuously beep. But I want it to continuously beep when connected to escort live!!! This is really annoying me and I need to find a way to fix this. Escort I need your help

I'm not and Escort employee, but when this occurs, about what speeds are you driving?

Does the same thing happen when you are on the highway/interstate?

Yes, any speed no matter what kind of alert. And yes even on the highway.

Do I understand you correctly; it works properly when not connected to Escort Live (EL), but when you connect EL it no longer does and all you get is a double beep with EL?

If the latter is the case, see the link below discussion of Cruise Alert on the standalone detector vs using Cruise Alert with EL. It's Cruise Alert that is providing the double-beep only in lieu of normal continuous beep operation.

When using Escort Live with any Escort detector you will only receive a double beep alert when traveling below the speed limit. When traveling above the speed limit the alert will sound normally. There is no setting available to change this.
