Default Message-"Subscription has Expierd. Renew or No Thanks"

Does everybody get the damn messages every ten min while driving with MAX and EL active on iPhone? I tap "No Thanks" and 10 min later, the same message pops up. It is so annoying I often do not even use EL anymore. Between this and MAX issues, I am about to look at the competition.

Is there any way to stop these or does Escort just figure they will bug you until you give in and renew your subscription?

Hi G8V8.

Customers who purchased a Max Detector (the one without Bluetooth) do not receive a free premium subscription to Escort Live, which Escort has been extending year after year. However, if you also purchased their Escort Live SmartCord, it would include the subscription to Escort Live. Be sure to register it with Escort to activate the premium subscription.

If you are running EL on your smart phone without the EL SmartCord, then you aren't receiving the full benefits of EL because your smart phone isn't connected to your Max.

The EL app still brings benefits even without using the EL SmartCord or a paid subscription, but unless you have a subscription (whether or not you are using an EL SmartCord), you'll get nagged. There is no way to skip the nags without a subscription.

I have 2 Passport MAX and 3 EL Smartcords. (3 cars). I have had these for years. I have had suscriptions for years. I renewed my subscription in a
June 2018 but now am getting the messages. is the renewal tied to a detector, or an EL smartcord serial number?


I can log into my EL app but when I try to log into my account at Escort, it doesn't know recognize my e-mail or password.


Getting very frustrated.

Only other suggestion I can think of is to contact Escort Radar customer service, available from 9am-5:30pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri at 1-800-543-1608.

Just to see if it helped I logged out and then logged in again. The message about expired subscription did not pop up. Now I just to contact CS to see when the Escort website does not recognize my e-mail, user name or password. LOL
