Default Detection Chronicle - Escort Passport - v1.6

I figured I would create a 'Detection Chronicle' for my Escort Passport running v1.6.

Settings:
Highway (I always run it on on this)
X-Band = OFF
K-Band = ON
Ka-Band = OFF
KaN1 = ON
KaN2 = OFF
KaN3 = ON
KaN4 = ON
RDR = OFF
TSR = OFF
POP = OFF

Always open to yours thoughts about if the range is what to be expected!

Default K-Band - C/O

This was a K-band C/O - 1st detection was a little over 1800' away with a curve as can been seen in the image.

Was the officer on the left (at the curve) or on the right side of the image?

I've noticed my iX has very good K band range. I haven't had a many LEO encounters since getting it but that's probably typical this time of year. It's been cold and maybe they don't want to be outside writing tickets.

I think we have 35.5 Ka band here. And laser. There's quite a few unmanned/mobile speed traps that use laser here and they've been in use for years. Those units have the laser diffused so they can target more than one lane. This means that you pick up the laser even when you're not being targeted. This is why I've always valued good laser detection. You get warned that it's in the area. I'm surprised more states don't use these mobile setups. Revenue generation without spending man-hours other than to set the thing up.

I was coming from the left to the right - the LEO was on the 'top' side of the street in the image. The aerial does not show the slight curve well but he does not have a line of sight on any cars until just past the midway point of my line.

35.5 Ka C/O. I was coming from left --> to right. Leo was in the parking lot facing me but tucked back toward the building a ways.
3,700 ft from 1st alert (not sure if that is avg or not)

yellowtang -

That's really good detection distance. If not for the curve you had to pass through first (from the left), your detector probably would have picked him up much sooner.

More than adequate detection distance. You had time to finish your lunch and wipe your chin before you were in his capture range
