I am uncertain why someone had you update 3 times when the software said that it successfully updated. That should not have happened. It installed correctly if the software verified this. I am also unsure why someone tried to upgrade you to a new detector when we service the MAX 2. I will pass this along to our customer service manager.

After the update, your MAX 2 should now be recognized by your iPhone and Escort Live. If it is not then there must be an issue with your iPhone or your MAX 2. We can service the MAX 2, it is not obsolete or unsupported. If the issue continues afterward then there may be an issue with your iPhone.

Great points.
1. Update first was using the wrong SW, which support says doesnít update the max2..even though SW verbiage in and during the update said otherwise. Second try something went weird with update...canít recall what...but inspite of SW indicating success support required full reboot of everything and try the update again. Third try everything went as expected.

2. You are correct, I was offered service, for about $100. I now have $600 2yrold Equipment with an extended warranty, plus cost of annual subscription purchased to prevent tickets and now I have to be without the unit and pay $100 to keep it running because Apple released a software update? No way. This situation is not providing the value I purchased it for (prot ct me from tickets) and Itís unreliable. At least a new detector would keep me covered and reset the two year window. Iím tired of messing with this situation..waste of time...so I see new or Iíll just deal with the cops as the two choices here. And as ridiculously costly as a new detector is...Itís still cheaper than an unfair run of speed traps. Sigh.

If your detector is 2 years old and you have our extended warranty on it, then it is still covered under warranty. Our extended warranty covers the detector for a total of 3 years.

Sure enough. Thank you.

I'm showing ship date of 8.3.2015 on the +2yr warranty paperwork. I wonder why did Escort support told me I was not covered. I specifically mentioned the extended warranty and they looked it up.

I'll call today.

Default Max 360 bluetooth issue with iPhone SE ios 11.2.1

Hi I've been using the Max 360 and successfully pairing it with an iPhone SE but a few weeks ago I couldn't pair it.

I've tried: unpaired, updated Max360 to latest software using the Escort detector tools app, powered on / off the Max 360, factory reset, etc...

I searched in bluetooth setting of iPhone SE and it showed the device Max 360 but when I selected it couldn't be paired.

I think there may be an issue with the bluetooth module in my detector.

I used DT to update Max360 software and it was successful (using update all option), but nothing changed and it couldn't be pair via bluetooth

My device S/n: 79045968 3916

Default After the repair

It took roughly 3 weeks to get my Max2 back from Repair.
The notes indicated that it had received a software update and replaced the case.

Unfortunately upon return the detector connected one time and never again.

One difference is that the detector does connect to phone Bluetooth, which it would not do previously, but the app has never recognized the detector, except for the initial connection.

Very disappointing.

Try this;

make sure in your bluetooth settings that your Redline EX isn't a device listed, make sure bluetooth is on, open the escort live app,go to the app settings, go devices, swipe up to control center, turn off bluetooth using the toggle and then turn it back on, escort live then should recognise bluetooth as being on and you should be able to connect.

if not; i've got no idea sorry

I sent the device to Escort in West Chester OH, and they said that they did not receive it. Although my USPS tracking showed that the package was delivered. I have no idea, did I lost my device ???

Please don't crosspost in multiple forums, crossposting/replying to multiple threads/posts can cause confusion to others.

From your other thread at http://escortradarforum.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=17442:

Dear Escort,

I've been waiting since 29JAN18, which is the date I sent my Escort Max 360 to your office in West Chester, OH.

The package was delivered on 31JAN18. Now it's been two months and no information about my device!

Before that the Max360 works perfectly after the firmware updated, and I just sent to repair because of the bluetooth pairing issue, not expecting to lose it.

Would you have a double check on my situation please ?

I attached the receipt of USPS, as an evidence.

Thank you very much!

Have you called back to Escort customer service? Escort Radar customer service is available from 9am-5:30pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri at 1-800-543-1608.

Only other thing I can think is to send EscortRadar a private message and ask him to look into the situation.
