First, thank you for doing that test again!!
I don't believe that you need/should return the Max. I believe that the Redline is a little better at radar detection than the Max but so what. As far as the Laser goes,it appears to me that the laser source is a laser speed camera. Yes? If I saw correctly in your videos, the Max doesn't alert to laser until it has counted down to the camera location then it alerts to the laser signal. I am wondering if the speed camera alerts are turned off, will the Max alert to laser sooner as does the Redline. I'd like to ask you to test again with speed traps off but you have already graciously retested. That is up to you if you want. You took the time out of your day and used gas etc for which I greatly appreciate. Overall,it would be best if you didn't use them together due to the possibility of interference.

Default Passport Max vs. Valentine One (Constant on Ka)

Hi, my wife's Passport Max came in a couple of days ago and I compared it to the V1 I bought last week. These are side-by-side comparisons of constant-on Ka band in a few different situations. While there is concern for two RDs on at once, I thought I'd post them since they were requested. More to come ...

Interpret these as you'd like ... three of the four videos were less than one mile away from the Ka source, some were off-axis, and there were two RDs running. I'll work on getting better in-town sources tomorrow, but for now, I'm quite impressed with the Max's performance. Hopefully these are helpful for now.

anberlinman, very good videos. Thank you. The only thing that worries me from seeing the videos are is the MAX so hard to see in the daylight? I could not see the MAX's lights as to being on in any of those videos. Is this an issue when driving with the MAX during the day?

SaintMichael, for some reason the OLED display would not show up on the video. This may be typical for all OLED displays, though, as the Passport Max display is very easy to see during the day. I'll toy around with the settings on my camera today to see if I can make it a little more sensitive. Honestly, I'm impressed with the Passport Max's display both at night and during the day. You will have absolutely no trouble seeing it.

Small Cameras can't deal with severe contrast differences like the human eye.
Try videoing with sun to your back "never in front ws" or evening.
