I am not aware of any aftermarket iQ mounts.

Is there a problem with yours or do you simply want a different style of mount?

I'm also interested if there's an alternative.
Mine hardly support the weight of the iQ, and I don't know if it can be replaced or taken as a guarantee.

Default Having the same problem with my mount.

I'm having the same problem with my mount. It just seems to lightweight for the IQ. Mine would get loose after a while and then the little set screw stripped out. Now, when I try and adjust it, the ball will come clear out of the socket and I have to stop and put it back in. I unscrewed it from the IQ and stuffed a couple of straw wrappers in the hole and then screwed it back in. It tightened it up for now.

Smile Always time to do it over but never time to do it right.

I've heard that the iQ is 3" deep? Is this correct? No wonder the mount won't hold.

And removing the det from the mount still requires you to unplug the power connection to the iQ?

All other GPS mounts have the power connected to the mount and the unit slides into the connection.

You guys need to make the iQ invisible to RDD, Fix the mount, Slim it down so it looks like a GPS to LEO, remove the ESCORT label on the front, or make it easy to remove if the customer wanted to, get the map updates going, and release a price for the updates.

Do all this and I'll sell my 9500iX, return my Magellan GPS to Costco for a full refund and buy the iQ.

The iQ's mount was recently revised to hold up better. I have been using one of these newer mounts throughout the summer and have had no problems.

The Escort logo is fairly small on the iQ. Unless someone knows what to look for then there it is very unlikely that they would know that it is a nav unit + radar detector. It is 3 inches thick at it's thickest point which is the center. At the edges it is only a little over an inch thick.

Incorporating the stealth M3 antenna into a nav device would considerably increase it's size and price.

The map updates should be released soon, before year's end. Current Passport iQ customers will receive them for free as a courtesy for the delay.

Default IQ Mount

What do we have to do to get the "improved" mount? My mount starts to sag and then detaches from the windshield while driving...

Why is it listed as being 1.62" deep? (5.35" W x 3.71" H x 1.62" D)

The IQ is a great idea, but why isn't there a remote version?

Will the IQ be updated to include the new 'live' feature? (hint, hint)
