Yeah I had been using Waze prior to getting free EL. Yeah agree that paying for EL past my free year is not worth it.

I do agree, Escort Live has its drawbacks like a moving LEO and then it reports a KA, and by the time you get there it is gone. I think with a few upgrades like a moving alert function, that would be helpful. Just like anything else with technology it is only as good as the people that use it, and lets face it, a little common sense goes a long way, plus most of us have used radar detectors and should know how to use them effectively. I feel the Escort Live is an added bonus

Thanks for the posts of the 360 in action!
I can't really tell what the issue is with the buttons, except maybe the font on one seems to be bolder than the others. I am a performance oriented type of person, so that is the most important feature to me. As long as it indicates the threats clearly and with great range, I am happy. I don't really want to pay for EL considering the now sister company Cobra is offering iRadar for free when you purchase one of their iRadar enabled detectors. That said Cobra's latest detector does not have arrows. Which is something I have difficulty living without, a V1 being the first detector I ever bought. Thank you all for the opinions on EL as well! One thing I am curious about is the lowest volume setting. In the V1 it is a nob with infinite volume levels, and when I used the STi DRIVER because my V1 was misplaced, my wife said it kept her from taking a nap! I drive with my wife and son and they usually take a nap. If the lowest setting is somewhat "loud" it will bother them..... |

Lowest volume is pretty quite. My wife would say the same thing! This wouldn't bother her!

So an update on my experience. The arrows are nice though because I slow down when the Max360 goes off like I do with other detectors I am starting to look at their significance to my knowledge. The detection range has not blown me away by any means. The auto lockouts have appeared to function correctly and receiving multiple alerts it seems to handle fine. The Escort Live info is limited by how many other people in my area are using the app and reporting detections. The over the speed limit setting does not seem to work as I have it set for off and it continues to warn me overtime I go over the posted speed limit. Deleted the app, power cycled the phone, reinstalled and still the same. The size of the device and how it shows on my windshield also concerns me that someone will break in to steal it. Having paid $600 for it also also increases this concern.

I always remove my detector even when I run into a store for a few minutes. Smash and grab, I lost two Detectors and I am not losing another.
