Amazing to me that Escort hasn't updated their own website to communicate their new named product to the consumer / marketplace......sounds like an IT employee may be on the hot seat.

Default Safe or not?

So, if it don't have the Bluetooth emblem on it, we're safe? Kinda worried...

Bought mine off of Amazon. Though it was 'discribed' as a Passport Max 2, the picture and what I received was a Max ll with no bluetooth symbol. Serial # was verified on Escorts website. According to both Vortex and Escort, they have changed the name a few times, as they do with some of their other detectors, but it is the same unit.

Same as me, can someone from Escort verify this information. It was sold and shipped from Amazon.

My Max II was purchased directly from Escort and came in the same box as the one pictured in post #14.

I guess I'll find out soon enough. Just bot a used Max2 off of ebay (in the mail). Will I have trouble registering since it is certainly pre-owned? If there is an extra step or two to register a pre-owned, could someone please advise. I'm all excited to upgrade from my 9500ix, and now I'm a bit concerned.

I read somewhere on ERF that if still under warranty , you can transfer it to your name for $20.00

FYI, I had the original Max 2 and had some issues that required service. When Escort shipped it back to me it was in a new housing with Max II labeled on it with the same serial number. The sticky mount changed to magnetic and came with it when it was returned. Everything functions exactly the same - including Bluetooth. It's legit.
