Oh I have never heard this about the temperature changes. We are already in the mid 80w here in Houston. Short winter. Lol. I'll give it 2 more weeks and see how it pans out. Allot of the saved spots were when temps were in 50s.

I have IX since July of last year. Overall I am happy with the purchase except few issues I am experiencing. One of them is same as Turbo complained about and I am going to try the fix offered by the escort admin (clear all lockouts). Second problem is that sometimes, more often then not IX alerting me of a red camera location after I have just passed that camera... There are few red lite cameras on my way to work every day. I always use my I phone escort app with an active subscription. Some day same camera alert comes on time before approaching the location but many times I get alert after I pass the location. Is this an app issue or my IX GPS?

It might be a poor GPS connection, or perhaps the RLC camera might not be enforcing in all directions. For example, let's suppose that the RLC enforces cars coming only from the north. As you approach the light from the north, you should get a warning in advance. However, if you're approaching it from the south (a direction that isn't enforced) you won't get a warning before you reach the intersection, but you might get a warning after you continue northward.

BTW, you might want to consider buying a Defender subscription. That way, you will have all of the RLC & Speed trap locations in your iX's memory, whether or not you are using Escort Live.

Just to add to what TBNTX noted. . . . If you are at an intersection not monitored in all directions and you turn from a non-monitored direction into a monitored one, you may get what seems like a single delayed alert (but it's not and your RD is functioning normally). You can tell if this is the case because all you will hear is the single "Red Light Camera" alert and not the double "Caution Red Light Camera Ahead" thereafter followed by "Red Light Camera" alert which you would hear in the monitored direction.

I have been waiting on this lockouts problem for about 2 years. I just found a 9500ix for sale locally I think I'll buy it tomorrow. My old 9500ix was flawless in its functioning with these lockouts. I had nearly 1000 lockouts when I sold my old one now each time I backup my max 2 it has numbers up and down. How is it unlearning lockouts?

Lockouts are "unlearned" if you drive past the location when no signal is present three or more consecutive times. You'll notice this a lot during the seasonal changes from warm weather to cold (and vice versa), and the original signal drifts due to temperature changes. The original signal well be unlearned and a new signal will be stored.

The Escort IX was released for sale July 2016, so how have you been waiting two years?
