Is Escort ever going to release this application for the Droid or Apple Platform?

It is very possible that we will develop Defender applications for both Android and iPhone platforms.

There is a deep seated phobia at Escort when it comes to any Apple products. Probably starts with the Chief of Command and trickles down the pyramid. My guess, is a tried and true Windows fan. As you may or may not know, the 9500ix can be compatible with a wide range of computer platforms including Apple. But remains a product for a segmented market. And they could have been done cross platform a long time ago. But the muckity-mucks at Escort don't want to take the leap due to fear of the unfamiliar territory. Fear that they well find the Apple platform a much easier and more stable platform.
They've been promising for over a year now to work with Apple and they have come no closer to appease the many Apple cliental, then to string them along. To bad - since Escort will continue to be limited until they think outside their insulated box. |

Interesting how Escort writes a program for the nearly dead in the water, Blackberry before writing RD software for the fast growing Apple base.
