We may be wrong about this. I'm not an Escort technician, but it seems plausible. I do remember some conversation about it when I purchased my original Max.

VERY VERY dangerous if you have K in your area. Needs to be fixed.
Thank your for verifying this!

This is extremely dangerous for anyone currently running the 360.

You mentioned for anyone who has K in their area, but since I have no way to test it might also impact the Ka detection as well. No way to test that for me personally.

Yes, Escort, please address this ASAP!

This wouldn't impact Ka, because that's on a different band.

Are you 100% sure about this? I can understand why you consider this to be true, but until there is a way to test I would not rule it out.

Iíve seen testing on this about a year ago. From what I understand after about 20 seconds of no alerts, the noise floor resets. No need to power cycle. Iím sure escort will confirm or set us straight here but Iím fairly certain thatís how it works.

That is not the case anymore, at least not with the newest firmware. The unit does not reset after 20 seconds. I test it out again today and it did the same thing. It only happens if you have a really strong K band present when you start it up. Anything mid to low and it works fine, it just goes permanently numb forever if booted up in front of a strong K band door opener.

As also confirmed by another member as well so I doubt we both have issues with our units.

Hmm, I'll take my 360 out to the store down the road shortly and restart in front of the electro door and see what it does. Will post back later. BTW my ser # is the 85 version and I normally start mine up in the non eventful driveway.

It has to be started close to the door opener when it is is basically on full alert. Weaker signal will not cause this issue. You will be able to tell as after about 30 seconds the 360 will still be quiet.

Well signals from several door openers things just weren't strong enough, hitting about mid signal on the 360 so
I had no problems. I've got more errands to run tomorrow, will try to find a stronger signal door opener (full blast) then I'll reply back.

Thank you for taking the time to test. Yes, the mid level strength ones are not strong enough to cause this 'bug' to surface. I know of a couple others that have been able to replicate this issue I described as well but the more people that do the better as hopefully it will help Escort narrow and solve the issue.
