What else on network could be keeping yours from working? You have tested on streets that normally show a psl when connected via bluetooth right?
Definitely no idea what it could be. We tried all kinds of combinations and nothing connects the detector to wifi except my lagacy hotspot. The background goes white and there is a communication error when trying to update the database and PSL does not show. Only when connected to my hotspot does it actually check the database and lets us know that there are no updates available and the PSL shows up as well. My friend is going to T-Mobile to purchase a hotspot for her 360c.

Well, I'm sorry your R360c is not connecting. I took some screen shots of my router screens, and how I configure DHCP, DNS, and the radio itself. Since my R360c works fine, I would expect the same would work for you. I have changed no other settings on the travel router from defaults.

I put the screenshots together if you want to take a look.

I had the same problem my RL360c would not connect to my car and I could not update it on my computer. You must call Escort to fix this, it's something on their end. Make sure you have the correct update software for your detector and have it connected to your computer when you call.
After he gets your info, it takes about 2min to fix. My RedLine is working as it should now. Good luck.

Cool thanks. I'm on an external hotspot for verizon now but I have a friend that could use this. I have her my travel router and she couldn't figure out how to get it to work either.

Hope your Google AdSense account is set up. This will help alot of people if it works and I highly doubt Cedar will increase overhead to make detectors the right way since there are these external alternatives.

She asked how do you set the operation mode to WISP?

Figured it out. Had to put it in hotspot mode but still didn't work with two RL360Cs or Max360c. Also tried two vehicles and home internet. Yes it is on the internet as we can browse and watch YouTube from computer and mobile. You may have gotten lucky and your travel router was configured just right out the box.

no, I had to configure it to do that. Did you do the DNS servers like I suggested?

I feel for you. I am pretty good with networking and the like and wish you were local to me and I would try to help. Something very odd about multiple units you own that cannot connect over that internet connection. Have you tried the same setup on somebody elses connected car? It really bugs me when something does not work.

It took me way too long to figure out my car only put out 5GHz wifi, but the travel router was a super quick and easy fix. And all it is doing is acting as a relay.

You did use different ssid name for the travel router compared to the cars wifi ssid right? And then configure the detector to use the travel routers SSID name?
(I know sorry remedial...I suspect you did it all right....)
This one just bugs me.

Yes to both questions. My car has one SSID but I know both bands are there meaning it relies on most devices to be smart enough to separate the bands. Here are the acreenahots of my configuration. I tried with both bands and no luck.
