Default Wi-Fi Fix?

Anyone get wifi to work on any vehicle or wireless router? Need to know if I wasted money or not🤣.

I know the proper Wi-Fi mode is 802.11 b/g 2.4 GHz and I purchased an access point and configured it as such but still no luck. Has anyone gotten it to work at all? Would be nice to not use the Escort App and passengers knocking my phone over #CamaroProblems.

No problem here. I start up my car - wait a few seconds - the R360C connects to my home router. if there is an update, it tells me.

Yes, I have made mine work with both my home router, and now a travel router that runs in my car.

I found that my cars hotspot only puts out a 5GHz signal whereas the radio on the R360c is looking for a 2.4GHz.

So...my travel router plugs into a USB power on the car for power. It connects to the 5GHz signal and rebroadcasts a 2.4GHz and 5GHz network. The r360c then connects to that to use the cellular in the car. Works great. I have done many db updates from it and the posted speed limits always work.

Loving my R360c but would love for whatever comes next to have native 5GHz support and then I can dump the travel router.

Which travel router do you have? I have the TP-LINK TL-WR802N Wireless Router 802.11b/g/n 2.4 GHz and it didn't work.

Doesn't connect to my home network either but it's an extremely modern router. I have a camaro and the only phone mount that works for me mounts on the knee pads on the passenger side. I need a mount to run escort live. Passengers tend to loosen it up and/or knock it over. If it worked on my car wifi I wouldn't need the phone mounted because the detector would give me the live alerts from the wifi.

Default Bump

Any proof that this detector works at all on WiFi? People in the forums keep saying they found work arounds but, no one is ever able to replicate these "fixes."

I discovered that when I think it's on wifi, it isn't. People were brushing off the speed limit part and saying that only major highways will show speed limit on WiFi. Other issues are, communications errors when trying to update on wifi, no live alerts, no escort database alerts, and the detector was awfully quiet last night when driving to a heavy redlight camera part of town. Wasn't getting those usual K-Band alerts that never seem to get blocked out.

Sure is a lot of money spent for a defective product and the advertising on the website is starting to seem deceptive. 🤔

Default Yes the WiFi works

I have no idea what you are talking about. I use my RL360C, on WiFi, every time I use my car. I have the RL360C using 2.4Ghz and my BlackBlackVue DR900S using 5Ghz off of my iPhone 11Pro Max (yes, I finally fixed the 5Ghz bug). I simply swipe down on the right side of the screen, press the WiFi button, and press the personal hotspot. It's swipe, press, press. I rarely use escort live over Bluetooth, and I am 100% certain I am on WiFi. Does it drop the connector sometime, yes. But it does the samething using Bluetooth connected to Escort Live. If you want help, I can gladly assist, but I know it works. Trust me I am not an Escort Fan Boy, but this part of the product does work.

I used to use the Nighthawk LTE Mobile Hotspot Router connected to my BlackVue Power Magic Ultra Battery in my truck, but I got tired of having to reset the thing every other drive. It was easier to just turn on the phone mobile hotspot. I feel your pain having to use 2.4 vice the 5mhz. Maybe the next model.

I have a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot in my 2019 Stingray and no problems with connection. Iíve only had the detector a few days and it has updated twice over Wi-Fi.

How did you fix the bug because I am out of ideas other than trying to return it.
