I know its not your fault, but the logic is flawed here. So i spend almost $1000cdn on a device that dies on my a few months after warranty is up and i have to be late for work (7am MST start) just to place a call for repair that i am going to have to pay for anyways?

Is there something wrong with an email or webform to get an RMA? I can literally do this everywhere else when i have issues with products.

Nothing wrong with an email or webform no. In a perfect world they'd have tons of people and tons of resources so that you could fill this out and have everything done over night. Actually in a perfect world you wouldn't have had the issue in the first place. lol

I know it is hard to be patient and it is hard on us all to accept so many changes in our world right now, but unfortunately we do not live in a perfect world, and we never will here.

All that we can do is take an imperfect situation and work on it. Please, keep working at your issue and you'll eventually get it straightend out. Should this have happened to you? Absolutely not...... Did it happen? Yes.... Can you take steps to solve your issues. Yes for sure!

Call in at opening time, and get in line. It's not the perfect situation no..... but in time you'll end up with a detector you really like and that works for you.

Respectfully , I would disagree. I think it would be unfortunate for you , not Escort. They have no shortage of customers when it comes to this new Redline. They can't keep them in stock! You would not be hurting anyone but yourself if you don't stick with it, but of course it is your choice.

That is an absolutely terrible position to take with a current and would have been future customer. The terrible customer service is driving away new customers as well (as per rdfourm) so you may want to reconsider your marketing model. "Good riddance, we have other customers" only works for too long until you ****ed off all of the customers.

Your post alone has confirmed that i will be not buying an Escort product ever again, will advise others of my experiance, and be sure my story is heard to others that share the same passion (ie forums).

You had me when you were playing the COVID violin until this.

That is not what I was saying. I am not an Escort Employee so don't hold anything against them for what I have said.

My point is, there is a good product in the REdline. The are dealing with things because of Covid 19 sure. That is the point. But my point is, don't give up and go to another brand and hurt yourself to hurt Escort, when in reality it will not hurt them. They are doing the best that they can, but with the disaster we are all dealing with , it's making it hard on not just them but everyone.

So don't misread my tone here. I am trying to get you to understand. You are obviously upset , but my recommendation is patience and persistence and you'll end up very happy.

I am a customer just like you. I went through long wait periods myself because of a bad unit, and dealt with issues too. I totally get where you are coming from. I just don't want to see you going with a detector that you may not be as happy with just because you're angry at the situation with CS. They are a great group of people. Once you get in touch with them (following out recommendations , at open time and get in line) you'll see what nice people that they are. They are trying their best here.
