Default Bluetooth connectivity issue - Radar detector is not communicating with SmartCord

Got my new Max 360c a few weeks ago and am getting this message about every 15-20 minutes.

Had zero issues with my Max 360 (older s/n version).

The image is not showing. Can you describe the error message?

You mention communicating with SmartCord. With a MAX 360c, there is no communication happening with the SmartCord. Please make sure that you use the SmartCord that came with your MAX 360c. Do not use a SmartCord Live cord from earlier detectors that did not have bluetooth integrated into the detector. If you have "SmartCord Live" paired to your phone then un-pair it.

Update the image to another hosting site.

Max 360c detector is paired directly to phone, as was the old Max 360. Have paired, and unpaired the Max 360c several times.

The detector usually fails to connect back to the phone after getting this message and I have to click the Bluetooth connect button which is red, instead of yellow as shown in this picture.

Try un-pairing all of your other Escort devices from this phone and see if this issue persists. If it does, then there may be an issue with the MAX 360c requiring it to be serviced or replaced.

Just found your post...I am having the EXACT SAME issue. I also have the Escort Max 360 and the Max 360c. The 360c DOES reconnect successfully after turning yellow for a couple seconds. The 360c doesn't go as far as turning red. I tried to unpair both the 360 and 360c. Uninstallled the EscortLive app, rebooted phone, then rebooted, reinstalled and paired ONLY the 360c. Still having the same issue. Did you get any resolution?

Un-pairing the MAX 360 should solve it. After you un-pair the MAX 360, un-pair and re-pair the MAX 360c.

Going forward please post the following when reporting issues with the Escort Live app:
- Model of phone
- OS version

Thank you

Yes, sorry for that....let me add

Problem: the Escort Live or detector disconnects from bluetooth, tbluetooth symbol turns yellow, and gives me a yellow background message on the Escort Live screen " our radar detector is not communicating with the SmartCord Live. Please ensure it is powered and connected to the SmartCord Live." Also, my Escort Live is saying it's expired, but customer service told me a couple months ago I have like another whole year on it. Can you check these for me or get me to someone that can fix both of these please?

Background: just bought the max 360c last week. I currently also own a max 360. (which I gave to my son to use)
I drive a 2016 Ford Fusion w/Ford sync with handsfree bluetooth. Use an iPhone 7 plus. Windows 10 64bit , Alienware 15 R2 laptop.

What I've tried: I tried removing/unpairing BOTH the detectors from Escort Live and iPhone 7, then uninstalled the EscortLive app. Rebooted phone.
Reinstalled EscortLive, and repaired the new 360c from within the Escort live app.

Also, I've tried running the Escort Live (EL) app without being connected to Ford Sync (another bluetooth connection), closed out the Tile app (another bluetooth connection to help find my car keys), closed the Waze app, and still not luck. Essentially closing out all background apps from running and only running Escort Live and my Max 360c on bluetooth. I'm NOT currently using wifi via iPhone hotspot with my Max 360c.
I was thinking that other bluetooth connections might not be playing nice with the Escort Live-detector connection?

I even tried a factory reset on the Max 360c. Still intermittently disconnects/reconnects the Escort Live-detector connection. Sometimes now, it not only turns yellow, but then red, and I cannot get it to reconnect to the detector while I'm trying to use it and I'm driving.
Lastly, I turned off the wi-fi sync completely from within the detector for now. I made sure there is no personal hotspot running,

Tonight, I'm going to do a reset factory network settings on the iPhone to see if that clears it up. Re-add the Max 360c first. Then only run that.
Then I will one-by-one add back other bluetooth devices and see how it behaves.

I sent in for servicing, and it was returned to me with "no issues found", "may be finding other bluetooth devices".

Detector continues to disconnect randomly from EscortLive app and show yellow bluetooth symbol, then attempts to reconnect, and usually does after a few seconds.

Added a 5 second delay in the startup in EscortLive app. no luck on that.

I tried running the detector in a different car to ensure it's not a power supply issue, and also on my battery backup power station which has a car DC charger port. That elminiates that as a possibility.

Next I used the replacement SmartCord Live cable shipped back to me just to make sure it's not a bad cable. Problem still persists; not the cable either.

I am now attempting a Reset All Settings on the iPhone 7 plus. I will report once I'm done testing after this.

iPhone 7 plus, iOS version 11.3.1

Default bluetooth connectivity issues

ok, I unpaired the max 360c from the iPhone, uninstalled the EscLive app.
Powered off phone completely, and rebooted the phone.
Then performed the reset all settings procedure.

Then performed a complete shutdown and turned off phone.
Next, I rebooted phone and downloaded a new copy of Escortlive App.
Paired the detector using the app.

Problem still persists.
Intermittent disconnect from BT with yellow background icon and message.
This is the only BT device, or any other for that matter, that's connected to the phone.

I think my next steps will be to try a different iPhone and see if this behavior continues.

I'm sorry to hear you continue to have bluetooth issues with your MAX 360c. Make sure that you are pairing the MAX 360c using Escort Live's "Devices" menu in Escort Live's Settings, and not the iPhone's Bluetooth Settings menu.
