I guess I should have waited to purchase my 2nd adapter.

I could use a replacement SuperCup (IMO should be included by default), and a recalibration.

I also have GPS issues, but that seems to have been fixed when I forced another firmware update, but I seem to have lost all my TrueLocks.

Keep backup files of your TrueLocks. See the advanced tab in Detector Tools.

Called today, the guy said $99.95 plus tax as you had confirmed. Told him to add to a note about my GPS and he said no problem. Seemed to go very smoothly....I guess we'll see what happens when I get it back.

Do we expect the Tune Up offer to still be active when the Escort Live direct wire becomes available?

Also, please forgive the dumb question but I am just now getting up to speed about exactly what Escort Live is: Does having the Escort Live service include Defender Database updates to the detector itself in addition to the additional phone display capabilities, i.e., does it make the separate Defender subscription unnecessary? If it does, can one update the detector via std internet connection without a phone connection (dunno why this would matter, just curious).

You can update the software of your 9500ix with detector tools and keep it up-to-date from home. Mine is over 3 years old and does not have the TSR software ( from my understanding the ONLY software that can't be loaded from home ) So they will be installing that for me.

I am also having some GPS issues so I would like to get it looked at. For $100 I will be having my 3 year-old detector looked over, receive another smartcord live and receive another Supercup from Escort.

Seemed like a great deal since I wanted to have it looked at anyways, when I'll practically be receiving $100 worth of accessories and having my detector looked at in the mean time.

Defender camera alerts are included with Escort Live. We feed this data directly from our servers to your smartphone so you will never need to update Defender when using Escort Live. You also do not need a separate Defender subscription, it's included with Escort Live's subscription.

I doubt that it needs a tune-up. You can check for updates on your 9500ix using Detector Tools on your computer. The Defender camera location database is updated weekly.

Other than support for Escort Live, there has been no firmware updates for the 9500ix since you purchased yours.
