jersey cops sux! they still profile, pull you over especially after curfew(after midnight). and don't run any yellow lights as they quickly turn red in a nj second.
this is how they get their revenues by harassing out of state license plates.

i dont think the troopers on i 80 use lasar. my detector usually picks them up.

From mile post 27 to the Delaware Water Gap is radar/laser ville. They hide on the westbound on ramp by the TA Truck Stop and shoot you in the back, The 9500ci shifts just fine.

i seldom go that far down unless i'm going to the poconos for camping twice a year and on my way to ithaca via 81 once a year. and when i use that 80 that far down, i get hit with traffic and almost impossible to go even close to speed limit.
so, the most i go beyond exit 47 ramp to 287, is 3 or 4 times a year and it's during rush hour, so i never get hit with lasar or that i can recall. i used to get hit with lasar at the cross bronx with my old 8500, but not with the 9500ix.

By the 3rd time i was setting gps marked locations just so i had a clue where they sit.

but i digress...

Does anyone out there have the same problem or know why the 9500ix doesn't pick up nj troopers guns or lasers or whatever they are using these days

also i have the 9500ix center and level and fully updated with location databases and firmware...

also also i use it in NY state Delaware and Maryland and seems to work fine with KA bands and X
I have lived in NJ all of my life (central). I rarely get hit with Laser. I travel a daily round trip of 100 miles a day to and from "The Office" on NJPW and Rte 33 (speed trap heaven).

I often get hit with Ka mostly...but I get hit with X-band quite a bit too from Troopers.

Ive only had my ix for around 12 months...but havent had a laser hit on it yet. When I had my 8500 back in the day...I recall getting them...but not too often.

weird, but, when i get hits, i can't find the troopers. when i spot them they're usually on the shoulder writing a ticket, or on the center island and no radar. most of my driving is off 80 to 287 from gw bridge and back. x and ka band, can't recall laser though.

I can vouch for that. I was about 5 miles from the Delaware water gap last September and was targeted from the rear by a state trooper using laser. He was parked on an embankment in the median between eastbound and westbound traffic. The 9500ci worked like a champ.

on my way to my gf's mother's house for pass over, there was a state trooper on the median off 80 en route to 287 just before exit 48. no radar or anything. had to slam the brakes as i was doing over 80 mph. good thing most of the traffic was doing about 70, so i wasn't too noticeable.

"because you want to sell me a ticket to the Massachusetts State Troopers Ball". He said "Troopers don't have any balls, but I will give you a ticket".

That's why I have the 9500ci now. If their window is down and you can't see their face, most likely they are using laser.
So 9500ci is the latest version ?
